| Answer: | From the frontpage of http://mba.business.hku.hk/email, click on the first item [Web Mail Login], then you will get the Login box. Enter your Login name and password and then click on the [Submit] icon. Sometimes you are unable to get the Login box since you have clicked into another item and not release it yet. Click on the selected item to release. |

| Question:. | Why do I get the error message of wrong password? | |
| Answer: | Both Login name and password are case sensitive, make sure that the Caps Lock is off. Otherwise, you have to contact the HelpDesk for resetting the password. |

| Question: | How can I read the receiving message? | |
| Answer: | From the field of SUBJECT, click on the blue underlined titles to browse the messages. | |
| Question: | Can I re-arrange the order of the messages by subject or the sender? | |
| Answer: | Yes. Just click on the icon of [FROM], [DATE] or [SUBJECT] to sort out. | |
| Question: | Can I move the messages to another folder or create a new folder to store the messages? |

| Answer: | To move the messages to another folder, just select the desired messages and then select the folder from the field of [MOVE TO]. To create a new folder, click on the [FOLDER MANAGEMENT] icon and then type in the new folder name. |

| Question: | Can I send multiple attachments in a message? | |
| Answer: | Yes. From the session of [Send Mail], use the [Browse] button to find the desired file. Once chosen, click the [Upload] button to add to the list. Again, you can browse another attachment file in the similar way and then upload to append to the attachment list. |

| Question: | How can I make use of the Address Book? | |
| Answer: | First of all, you have to enter the session of [Address Book]. Using [ADD NEW ITEM] to configure for a new address and then click the icon [Send It] to add to the address book. From the session of [Send Mail], select the desired address from the [Address Book] and then click the [insert] button to insert into the fields of To:, Cc:, and Bcc: respectively. |

| Question: | Can I read my outgoing messages? And how can I read the messages from other folders? | |
| Answer: | Under the session of [Mail Box], you can select the desired folder and then click on the [Go To] icon. By default, all the outgoing messages will be stored in the Outbox folder. Or you can disable this setting from [Save a copy in OutBox] in the session of [Send Mail]. |

| Question: | Can I change my password or forward all incoming messages to another email account? | |
| Answer: | All advanced features as e-mail forwarding, auto-reply, changing password, etc can be found in the [Email Account Administration]. |

| Question:. | Why do I get the error message of "Your student ID is not valid" ? | |
| Answer: | Either you have entered a wrong ID number or the ID
format is incorrect. The correct format is 19xxxxxxx or 9xxxxxx, etc. No hyphen or letters. It is recommended student ID with 98 or later in the front to use 19xxxxxxx format. For student of 97 or earlier, please use 9xxxxxx format. N.B. DO NOT include the check digit in your StudentID. |

| Question:. | Why do I get the error message of "Your Preferred Login Name is Already Exist" ? | |
| Answer: | The account name is already in use by previous user.
Please select another one. |

| Question:. | Why do I get the error message of "Your University Number has already registered for a email account" ? | |
| Answer: | You have already been successful in registering an
e-mail account before. N.B. DO NOT include the check digit in your StudentID. If you still experience the problem in the registration, please feel free to send e-mail to the HelpDesk helpdesk@business.hku.hk and given your StudentID as well. |

| Question: | How can I access my e-mail account on Web or via any e-mail systems ? | |
| Answer: | I am glad to inform that our Web-based mail system is already available.
Just click on [WebMail] in the section of Email Account Administration On the other hand, you can still able to access your e-mail account by Eudora, Netscape Mail, Internet Mail, Outlook, etc. Examples of e-mail configuration are summarised as follows:- |

| Question: | How can I use my MBA e-mail account at home by dial-up connection? | |
| Answer: | If you are using HKUPPP, you can follow the
instructions from Computer Centre for Dial-up Networking Connection Configuration Services. If you are using an ISP account other than HKUPPP, please consult with your ISP company or get a hint from the previous question of E-mail configuration using Eudora and Netscape Mail, etc. At this stage, our School of Business does not support any dial-up services. |

| Question: | Can I remote login to the e-mail server and check my e-mails ? | |
| Answer: | No. Due to the security reason, we DO NOT allow the
user to telnet or remote login into our e-mail server. Please make use of any e-mail applications on Win95/98/NT platforms. |

| Question: | How can I change the password? | |
| Answer: | In the section of Email Account Administration, select [Change Password] and then fill in the details. |

| Question: | I have forgotten my password, what should I do ? | |
| Answer: | For any enquiry and technical support needs, please
feel free to send e-mail to the HelpDesk helpdesk@business.hku.hk. For our convenience, please write down your StudentID in your message in order to quicken the processing. |

| Question: | Can I forward all the incoming messages to another email account if necessary? | |
| Answer: | Yes. In the section of Email Account Administration, select [Email Forwarding] and then fill in the details. |

| Question: | Can I leave a message for announcement when I am on vacation? | |
| Answer: | Yes. In the section of Email Account Administration, select [Auto Reply] and then fill in the details. |

| Question: | Is it possible for me to change my account name afterwards? | |
| Answer: | Yes. You have to unregister the current account and then re-apply for a new account in the section of Email Account Administration. |

| Question: | Could I still keep this e-mail account when I graduate from School of Business ? | |
| Answer: | Of course. This e-mail account will be your lifetime
e-mail service provider. However, due to the rapid growth of our MBA students, we will no longer provide diskspace for your e-mails storage but offer your a free e-mail forwarding service. |
